My father passed away several years ago; at that time, he was over 90 years old. The last name is Waseck. I do know that he lived in Jersey City, NJ, on Perrine Ave, and that he was one of three children. His brother, Walter, died in WW2 ; he and his sister Grace had a massive falling out and there was no contact after the late 1960s. One of my interests in this name is that my dad used to joke around and say, "It was 15 letters, honey, but they chopped it up at Ellis Island." Is that true? Is this a shortened form? And are there any other Waseck's around???
