Maternal grandparents, Tomsacz J. Kopic c. 1883 (pos. Kopec/Kopacz, or even, Wosniak?) came from the village of Malawa, near the town of Rzsezow, PL; and Agnieszka, c. 1885 (nee Filip) came from the nearby village of Chmielnik (not the town of the same name). Ciagwa surname, of supposed ancestor dating from 1615, hailing from Subsuche, then Zakopane region.
