| Notes | I am researching my family tree. I have gone back as far as my p. great grandfather, Frank (or Franz) Szmiegel. His Naturalization papers in the US have him listed as Frank Smigiel, born in Pointkowswa, Russia. I haven't found the town/village, but suspect it might be Piotrkowski. The person I have found on ancestry.com who I believe to be my g. grandfather arrived in the US on June 25, 1900, along with who I think is his brother, Roch. My great grandmother was Ewa Mozdzyn, also from the same town/village. She arrived in America in 1901. They both settled in Duryea, Pennsylvania.
