My name is Martin Danko, I'm a quarter Polish and 3 quarters English, with a Polish surname from my grandfather whom settled in the UK following WWII. I'm looking to find out about my grandfathers family and my Polish roots. I curious if someone could help with my family history as I have just discovered that my grandfathers whole family changed their name before or at the start of the WWII. I'm interested in finding out why and see whether I maybe able to trace some of my ancestors in Poland.
