My interest are the emigrants from southern Poland "gorale" area from the High Beskid Mountians. My grandparents were members of the Babiogorcy highlander clan. This area was part of the area called Galicia. In 1900, around the time they left Poland, this area was in the Austiran-Hugarian partition and they were considered Austrian citizens. My genealogy project and passion has been the indexing of Minnesota Polish church records from Minneapolis/St. Paul and its surrounding area.
