My gr-grandfather Ambrose Ciechanowski came to North America about 1854, emigrating from Sliwice, Poland. He entered through Canada, probably Quebec City. Within about a year he moved to Michigan where he helped found the town of Parisville, in Huron County. My gr-gr-grandfather Franz (Francis) Polk came to North America in 1855. He entered through Canada, Quebec City. Within the same year he moved to Michigan where he helped found the town of Parisville, in Huron County. He was born in Boronow, POL. His wife Josefa Slawik was born in Dembowa Gora, Poland My grandfather Valentine Lukowiak immigrated into the US in 1891 and settled in Detroit, MI. I have no info concerning from where he emigrated in Poland. |
