Looking for information about the Iwan Stankewitz family born in Zastienok, Luzische, Russia/Poland in Oct or Nov 1892 his father's name was Jan Stankewitz mother Pauline Kakowski. Iwan was my grandfather, he became John Stankewicz/Stankiewicz after immigrating in 1911. He immigrated with Ossip and Benigna Stankewitz whom I believe were his cousins. Iwan (John) was headed to his brother Alexandar in Forrest, CT. The cousins were headed to Union, CT Also seeking information about my grandmother's family Mary Helen Piekarska born in Chatyrky, Poland or Russia in about 1895 immigrated to US in 1913 headed to Beacon, NY area.
