While my surname appears to be Polish, relative say we're of German descent. Great grandparents, Johann and Anastasia and their baby son Frank, my grandfather, immigrated to the United States in 1887. 1920 Census records list Frank as German, born in Germany. I don't know where to search. I believe Baltimore was there place of entry. They eventually settled in Wisconsin. |
