Searching for info on my great grandmother, Sarah Brandenstein. She as born in Vilna in the early 1860's and was first married at age 13. I haven't found any Brandenstein's in the few area records that I have seen online, so I think her name may have actually been Berenstyne or some thing close to it. I don't know the names of her parents, or the name of her first husband, or what became of him. She married a second time, to Selig/ Samuel Olshansky, about 1891. They lived in Moscow until 1897, then left for New York. In the 1940's , Sarah sometimes gave her son, Phil ,money" to send to her family in Poland."
