Am seeking any information about my husband's grandfather Albert Kucharski, born in 1889 in the Polish town of Nowy Sad, which was at that time a part of Austria. He emigrated in 1905, sponsored by a man named Nasel (sp?). Very shortly before or after his emigrating he changed his name to Albert Cook. He could neither read nor write. He married a woman named Ida Hedwig Elksner and they settled in Minnesota. |
