Michal Zima, b 27 Dec 1883 born in the villlage of Witkowice. I believe this to have been in the Territory of Warszawa during the 1880 to 1900 Poland. His mother's name was Josephiet Margarethe Liamske and his father, name is unknown but may have been Adam Zima, died in 1892. Michal had 1 sister and 3 brothers, Jan, Marcin and Wojciech Zima. Michal and his brothers are found to have migrated to the US via Ellis Island, NY and settled in Chicago, Illinois between 1901 and 1906. Some of the brothers listed their country of origin as Galicia. Michal and Jan Zima married Justyna and Mary Sokolowski sisters. Justyna Sokolowski, b 7 Feb 1886 born in the village of Brzeziny, in the Territory of Piotrkow during the 1880 to 1900 Poland. Parents were George Sokolowski and Reginae Kalbethiet Lekanska. Justyna had 1 brother and 3 sisters. Justyna had 1 brother Pawel and 2 sisters, Marya and Kazimiera along with several Sokolowski cousins are found to have migrated to the US via port at Baltimore, Maryland and settled in Chicago, Illinois between 1901 and 1906. Justina and Marya married Zima brothers Michal and Jan respectively. Michal and Justina were married on 18 Feb 1904. |
