I am researching Antonia Dziok, born 1851 in Austria Poland. What I know is Antonia Dziok immigrated in 1882. The ship's name was Prague. It departed from Hamburg on May 20, 1882 and arrived in New York, port Leath. Residence is listed as Krokau, Galizien on the passenger list. Dispite many attempts, I have had no success finding any connection with the DZIOK name in poland. I am not sure if the last name was changed upon leaving Poland. Is there anyone that is familiar with this Polish name. I am at a loss at this point. I appreciate any comments. Marianne |
