My mother's parents were Andrzej Gondek, son of Marcin Gondek and Josephine Delong, from Szczawnica and Florencja Warchoł, from Bączal Górny. My father's grandparents were Jósef Szymusiak and Katarzyna Łopata from Załuczne. Jósef changed the last name to Shomo (borrowing it from a French-descent neighbor) when he settled in Pennsylvania. |
