My Grandfather Walter Janas was born in Jaroslaw, Poland around 1898, he immigrated to America. He married Cecilia Dudek from Frystak, Poland. He spoke Russian, Polish and German. He could have possibly defected from the Austrian Army. There could be ties to the Dumas or Dupre families of France. He was as skilled painter. Any information would be appreciated.
