My great, great grandfather was named Franciszek Madon from Wysoka, Galicia. He came to the United States in the early 1900s, approximately 1910. He had a brother Jan Madon who remained in Poland, and his father was named Jendzrej Madon. When he came to the United States, he changed his name to Frank Maddow and settled in West Virginia. His wife, Sophia Maddow (Dziedzic) was also from Wysoka. |
