How would I start the research of my greatgrandfather's family from Poland. His name is John Drapala and he came over to US in early 1900's or late 1800's. I think he was born in the 1880's. He came over with his sister who was a nun ( Sr. Armenia) and another sibling. My uncle who is 85 is his son and would like to find out about his roots because was never told about his father's family. All we know is that he is from Lipnica. I would appreciate any info on how to start this because my Uncle is obviously elderly and he has always wished he could find out this info. Thanks
