My research is on the names Konopacki and Tryba or Trieba. My Maiden name is Konopack, my Grandfather dropped the i sometime in his adult years. I have located a marriage certificate between my G-Great Grandfather Paul Konopacki and his wife Francisca Tryba (or Triebe), in Koscierzyna (1863). Two children were born of this union, Bernard Joseph? Konopacki - (1867-1924), and Faustina Francisca Konopacka - (1868-1869). I think they may have lived in Niedamowo for a time. They left Poland around 1870 and settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, according to US Census Records. I have not been able to find any records of them leaving Poland or their port of entry (U.S. or Canada?). On this side - I have found records of Francisca in Milwaukee and in Chicago including her death certificate. No records of Paul have I found. I am interested in finding information about both of my Great Great Grandparents and their ancestors. Thank you for any information you can provide. Betty Webster |
