My grandmother was born in Borek Wielki, Poland on a farm, her father was Alexander Ziemba and mother was Caroline. She immigrated to the US in 1910 to NY at Ellis Island. Her name was Kataryna Ziemba. She had a brother Joseph, sister Helen and one other sibling (name unknown) that married a 'Dachowski' anand moved to Mielec. Interested in cemetary and church records from Holy Mary Roman Catholic Church and the cemetary called Cmentarz w Borkuwielkin outside the town of Borek Wielki. My grandfather, Thaddeus Kowal with brother Marian, brother Jospeh (killed in WW2 fighting for Poland) and sister Catherine was born in Kaczanowka which was outside Ternopil, Ukraine. It was part of Poland/Galacia at the time and he immigrated to the US in 1912 to the Port of Philadelphia.
