Piotr Migowski and Janina Wojcik married in York, England. Both were deported to the Soviet Union in 1940. Migowski fought with the Polish II corps and Janina joined the Polish contingent to the WRAF. Janina Wojcik arranged for her Mother, Jozefa Gajewska Wojcik and sisters Marysia and Kazimiera to emigrate to England from South Africa in 1948. Jozefa Gajewska was born in 1899 in Nieszkowice Wielkie, Malopolskie. She married Jan Wojcik from Lemanowa prior to 1924 and they moved to what is now the Ukraine. |
