My great grandmother immigrated to the US in 1872. The ship's manifest states that the family's residence was Samter. My great-grandmother was only 3 when she arrived, so she repeated information her parents told her. She listed her birthplace as Warsaw or Russia on most documents. There was a family rumor that we were related to Ignace Paderewski, but I have never found evidence to support this. I would appreciate any information. My great-great-grandfather was Antoni Wlodek, born in 1834. I don't have any information abput his parents. My great-great grandmother was Klothilde Kowalsky, born in 1847. Again, I have no information abput her parents. Thanks.
