Maternal Great-grandparents: WINCENTY BARNASIEWICZ & ANNA BASZCZAK, lived in the village of POLANA, Gmina Czarna, Bieszczardy County [former Lisko County and Galicia in southeast Poland] with daughter KATARZYNA "Kasia", and sons KAZIMIER and ALEXANDER. All residents of Polana were removed from Polana and forced to "relocate" in 1947 under Operation Vistula [Akcja Wisla]. Grandmother, KASIA "KATIE" BARNASIEWICZ, born 1893, and her brother KAZIMIER BARNASIEWICZ born 1888, immigrated to the USA in 1911 and 1914. Lived in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY; Elizabeth, N.J., New York City, & Ambridge, Pennsylvania.
