My husbands grandfather Frank Podsiad was born in the village of Poryte, in the district of Gmina Stawiski within Kolno County, Podlaskie Voivodeship on July 4, 1894. He came to America from Bramen Germany on the vessel ss. Kaine and landed in Baltimore Maryland on Jan, 1,1909. From there he made his way to Wyandotte Michigan. Several years later he sent for his brother Henry b. 12/30/1895. Henry lived in Wyandotte and became a catholic priest. I believe there was a brother who stayed behind on the farm. I would be grateful for any help finding family in his native land or who they were. [email protected]
