My late husband was Robert Joseph Kula (1938-2011) born in Bad Axe, MI His father was Albert Valentine Kula (1911-1973) died in Kalkaska, MI His father was Joseph J Kula, Sr. (1887-1958) married to Ida Goretski, was born and died in Port Austin, MI His father was Valentine Wolenty Kula (1845-1922) married to Julianna Mroczkowski, immigrated in 1874, ship docked in Detroit 1878. 1880 cencus shows him in Detroit, then moved to Port Austin, MI. I think that they may have come from Podkarpackie Province, Poland. There are many Kula in the Leki Gorne, Leki Dolne region. They are buried in St. Michaels Cemetery in Port Austin, MI |
