My great-grandparents, Wojciech Makowicz arrived from Olszyny to Ellis Island in May 1902. Emilia Wapiennik arrived from Krzyz in Feb 1905. They later married and my grandfather Stanley Makowicz was born in Chicago, IL. Stanley married Stella Domkoski. Stella's father Adam Domkoski died in Mar 1923, but we have no information except his American first name and date of death. Stella's mother was Victoria Parzygnat, and I believe she may have bene born in America, but I don't know. Victoria's parent's were John Parzygnat and Anna Grzonka. John's father is Mark Parzygnat. I have no idea who came to America nor where the American names began. The records I have say Mark, John and Anna were all born in Poland (Prussia or Manovia).
