I'm just starting this venture. I have copies of records of my grandfather Jan Swietek, born 2/20/1891 in Piekielniku, Poland. His parents were Ignacy Swietek and Anna Servinska. He came to the US around 1906/09 on the Kronprinzessin Cecilie. US family name has spelling variations; Svientek, Swentek, Sventek. We were always told we were Slovak but I see on one paper a place of residence was Pekelnik, Hungary |
