Research notes

Paternal
grandfather, Jacob Cieslak was born in Nieszawa July 13, 1881.  (Mother
Marjanna (?), father's name unknown. Both parents died prior to 1892).
Married his wife, Catherine Pawlak (born in Osienciny on 15, 1887) on Feb 8,
1904 in Osienciny.  Had two sons born in Oscienciny, John - Oct 7, 1907,
and Frank Joseph - Dec 28, 1908.  Jacob emigrated to the US in Aug 1910,
with Catherine and the boys following in 1913.

Jacob
had a brother, Antoni who married Frances Pawlak (Catherine's sister) and
fathered 17 children, not all who survived, and re-established the family farm
in Wysocinek.  Childrens name's included Zygmunt and Wlodosgrava
(sp?).  Am interested in locating this part of the family line.

Jacob
also had two sisters sister Maryjanna who remained single to the best of
our knowledge and Konstanjia who married a Tuszynski.

The
Pawlak's (Catherine--Cieslak, Frances--Cieslak, Victoria--Sadowski, Wojcich,
and Szcepan)were born to Wincent and Mary-nee Bochowska,(1880’s/1890’s) and are
known to have ties to Oscieciny and also a place somthing like Pilichowa (sp?).   Szcepan is the only child to remain in
Poland.  Story has it that he married and
had 3 or 4 sons, one may have been named Wladek.  Sczepan served in the military and achieved a
higher rank.  Family story has it that he
was arrested during WWII, was interred and died.  Attempting to locate any info on Wincent,
Mary, and Sczepan and descendents.
