My father's father, Martin Kubeja, and his brother John Kubeja, immigrated from the area of Poznan to the US and settled in Erie, PA in the late 1800s. I would really appreciate if anyone can give me any clues. I have never found any information about John or Martin Kubeja. Also, my maternal grandparents, Jan and Frances Stachal Popielasz, came from a small village east or southeast of Lublin. In 1984/5 my mother visited the village where she was born and found her first cousins. Three of them came to Albuquerque for an extended visit in 1987. When mom died in December 1991, we lost contact with our relatives in Poland. I would certainly like to find them again. |
