Most of the names and places came from birth certificates obtained in St Cloud Minnesota. It appears that most of these people came from a relatively small part of Poland southwest of Opole. What prompted their migration which occurred over a relatively short period of time. On backside of one of the birth certificates from 1830 there is information written in German and describing as colonisten. Were they immigrants to Schleisia from Germany? Did they come to USA in groups?
