I have just begun researching my roots. My father's parents emigrated from Poland to America in the early 1900s, and settled in the industrial area of Northwest Indiana, just Southeast of Chicago. I have tentatively identified my ancestors to the 3rd great-grandparent, but have little information about them. I would love to get a complete history as far back in time as I can; I also plan on making a trip to the Motherlands (Poland and Slovakia) when I retire (5 years or so). |
