My father was born in Giedlarowa, Pol.� His family had two surnames and neither of them are found on any listings I have searched.� I know nothing of him other than where he was born.� One name used was Wylaz and the other Niemiec.� I am told that his grandmother was raped by a German soldier and thus the Name Niemiec came about--But Her family surname was Wylaz and to avoid the unmentionable incident the child was also called Wylaz a Polish rather than German name.�� Can any one tell me about either of these names in the current town of Giedlarowa, Poland which is not far from Lancut Castle.� Thanks ever so much.......Marian
