Hi all, I've been trying to trace my Polish ancestry and I cannot get beyond my great-grandmother: Stanislawa Motaska. I'm not sure if the surname is spelled correctly as all of the documents I've seen are difficult to read and U.S. immigration was notorious for changing surnames. I did 23andMe and Askhenazi DNA popped up in my ancestry, which was a surprise. They left Poland for America in 1914 from Ciechanów, I think. Again the documentation is very difficult to read.
