Hello.

I wanted to share with you all my recent article about Koniakow lace, a beautiful type of crocheted lace from Silesia. Although interest in crocheted lace waned for a while, there has been renewed efforts to preserve and publicize this wonderful craft. I hope you enjoy it.

Hi Carol,
I thoroughly enjoyed your article! It is well-researched and beautifully illustrated. I was impressed by the picture of the world’s largest Koniaków lace. I was intrigued to learn about how the PRP encouraged folk artists to flourish by way of opening Cepelia stores. Various items in my home have come from Cepelia.
It is heartwarming to see that this historical skill of lace making has been revived and continues to thrive.
Thank you so much for posting this article.
All the best,
Sophia

Thank you so much for posting this article! It was a fascinating read, and the lace is amazing- it reminds me of the doilies my grandmother and mother used to make using “tatting” - but this lace is far more intricate and beautiful.
