Wow!!!!!!!!!! I am speechless. The children grew up without their father.
And my great grandfather was born in a mill.

Here is the margin note as requested. Please let me know if you can see this.
In your translation, I was thinking - hmmmm, this is supposed to be for a Nowakowski, but couldn't make the name out on the original record. i see in the margin, Nowakowski is mentioned. Now I'm very curious as to what this says. Thank you!

Post subject: Please translate this marriage record for Wykowska
Please help me translate this marriage record for my relative Bronislawa Wykowska. I've been trying to translate the Russian cyrillic myself, but would like to have an expert tell me if I have it right. I had to cut it into two separate files because the marriage record takes up an entire page in the record book and was too big of a jpeg file to attach as one document. Thanks so much!

Very interesting! I've only seen one other out-of-wedlock birth where the father "confessed" during the baptism of the child. Never have seen something added in the margin for this. Now I hope the microfilm I have also has marriage records and will look there.
Thank you!
