Together again. PolishOrigins reunion after a 3-year break.

In February, after 3 long years, our PolishOrigins team managed to meet again. For many years we had been organizing our meetings every year until the beginning of 2020.

Together Again

We all work remotely and had been doing this long before it became popular during the covid restrictions. Our core guides and managers live and work in different regions of Poland: Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań, Białystok, Rzeszów. We also cooperate with many other city guides and genealogists all over Poland as well as in Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine.

Unfortunately, due to the collapse of the tourism industry in the last three years, some of our guides had to find jobs outside of tourism. As a team, as PolishOrigins, we survived and the meeting had a special meaning and joy for all of us.

We met in the Carpathian Mountains in the south-eastern corner of Poland, in the Krosno and Sanok area. Some of us traveled more than 8 hours to arrive and to be together during these two days and late nights.

We were talking that to make up for this two-year break in our reunions, we should now meet more often than once a year. The only problem is that during spring, summer and fall we are busy with the tours and it is difficult to find a date when we can all get together.

If you are interested in seeing the real faces staying behind the PolishOrigins, here are collected photos and videos we made during the reunion: https://photos.app.goo.gl/tX1Dyo53ZztL4BEC8.
