Today we were off before 8 am and heading to Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains. We had to be packed because we were going to be staying in a new hotel.
On our way we visited Carpathian Troy, an archeological site dating back to 2000 BC. We started with a short movie and then our guide took us through the large site detailing everything we saw.

Our morning was not over for our next stop was Magura National Park. Again, we had a personal guide who gave us a background on the park and its inhabitants, watched a movie, viewed a wildlife museum and illustrations of different trees located there, along with a room of pictures of old wooden churches located in the area. It was a great presentation.
Now we were off to the mountains. We stopped for lunch in Slovakia in a nice restaurant located in a nice courtyard and we were back on the road (after some shopping). The ride through the mountains was breathtaking! We arrived at our next ‘home’ the Redyk Hotel.
