Wooden architecture is something that we believe is unique in this part of Europe. And it always makes a big impression on the people who visit this section of Poland.
The beautiful shapes, perfectly balanced proportions of the buildings, and the intricate woodcarvings are admired by visitors. And there is something more? the very special aroma of the old wood, and the nice coolness you encounter when you enter the building on a hot day. The old churches and manor houses are beautifully located and blend in with the landscape. They are usually surrounded by numerous trees, that are as old as the buildings themselves… We would love to show you all of this.
The places we?ve chosen below are located in the two provinces of southern Poland: Małopolska (Lesser Poland) and Podkarpackie Voivodeship. We?ve included a short list of sites that we believe are the most valuable, well preserved and most impressive.
