My Grandpa was from Poland and was a prisoner of Dachau. He survived when the US Army liberated the camp. The US Army paid him to guard SS soldiers, When my Grandma passed away in 2009, we found a paycheck stub from the Army for my Grandpa and it subtracted money for his uniform. |
